There is only one operator available on Mondays and Fridays for limited hours. ***The operator on Mondays and Fridays is available for emergencies only.***

SEASONAL WATER TURN ON AND OFF:  The Department will allow seasonal turn on and off of water at the curb stop from May 1st through November 1st or at the discretion of the Superintendent. Please call Becky Craggy at 636-7395 at least 2 days prior to the target date for turn on/off.

WADS OF WIPES CLUMP TOGETHER AND JAM THE PUMPS IN THE SEWAGE PUMP STATION. THIS IS A TIME-CONSUMING AND EXPENSIVE CLEANUP. DO NOT FLUSH WET OR DRY WIPES EVEN IF THEY CLAIM TO BE BIODEGRADABLE or FLUSHABLE. DO NOT FLUSH DIAPERS, TAMPONS, FEMININE PADS, PANTY LINERS, PAPER TOWELS, EXTREMELY LARGE AMOUNTS OF TOILET PAPER, OR MOP HEADS.

The NH Department of Environmental Services notifies all residents that sump pumps, roof downspouts etc., must not discharge into the Town of Northumberland's sewer system. Roof runoff can be addressed by installation of drywells etc. Please consult your local department or NH DES for guidance on stormwater runoff. Below is a link to one of NHDES' resources:
